The Montedor Windmill Museum Centre consists of the Marinheiro Mill and the Cima Mill, which date back to the 19th century and were used for grinding cereals. The Marinheiro Mill was one of the last known examples of trapezoidal wooden sails in operation and currently has an operational grinding system. The Moinho de Cima now functions as a resource centre, with some exhibition panels. Both were acquired by the Viana do Castelo Municipal Council in 1993, when they were already in ruins, and were restored and reopened on 28 September 2002.
