Also known as Rock Engravings of the Sun Stone, they are located northwest of Montedor and were first mentioned in 1969. These engravings, possibly dating from around 1000 BC, are distinguished by their very characteristic representation of spiral rings with a central point – hence the name ‘sunburst’ – and reticulated patterns, which were created using a technique involving chipping followed by abrasion.
